. In Heaven's fields, tears, when given to the LORD, planted with prayer and watered with worship, will always grow into joy.
Psalms 126:5, "They that sow in tears shall reap in joy."
It is amazing how the law of the harvest applies to our sorrow and disappointments.
Never be a shoulder to cry on when your child needs a shelter to hide in. Moms and dads, you are the shelter first and the shoulder second.
Conviction is our heart's response to a loving God who reveals something in our lives that is unlike Him. It is our heart getting honest with the LORD. It is a good thing, it really is.
Why do some worldly people seem to have more peace than some Christians? One reason is that many worldly people are worldly everywhere they go...
Unlike some Christians, they do not act one way on Saturday night and another way on Sunday morning.
There is a certain peace to an integrated life, regardless of how that life is lived.
"An occupied cross destroyed the law of sin, but it was an unoccupied grave that destroyed the law of death. Now we are free from both laws."
The peace of God passes all understanding. It is absolutely the will of God for you to experience His outrageous, extravagant peace!
"Nobody would pay $70 per seat to go sit in a football stadium knowing that the football teams were not going to show up... Yet many people go to church every Sunday where they do not feel God and the Holy Ghost does not move... I'd rather sit in an empty stadium than a dead church. At least I might get some nachos."
"In our flesh, our victories are only temporary.
But with the Holy Ghost, our defeats are only temporary."
"One of the greatest miracles is how easily grace can overpower disgrace."
"In the Biblical court of law, all accusations had to have at least two witnesses to justify a case being brought to court."
"If you are tired of feeling condemned by satan's accusations... stop agreeing with him. You are providing him with the second witness that he needs."
What Is Your Faith Based Upon?
Our faith must be based upon who God is rather than what God has done. Faith that is based upon God's actions will be incomplete and "spotty" at best. If God provides for you financially in a miraculous way, you will find it easier to believe God in the future for your finances but you will find it difficult to believe if you need physical healing.
This is what plagued Israel as they were going through the wilderness. Look at this:
1. God delivered them from Egypt with a mighty hand, yet they doubted when they came to the Red Sea.
2. God parted the waters of the Red Sea yet they doubted when they began to run out of food.
3. God miraculously provided food for them yet they doubted when they were thirsty.
On and on the story goes, they would be delivered only to run into another wall of doubt when they were faced with a new and different problem. But having crossed the Red Sea on dry ground, there was no doubt when they had to cross the Jordan River. They trusted God based upon what He had done rather than who He is.
Our faith must be anchored in God's Person rather than God's past. If our faith is based upon a continuous and present relationship with Jesus Christ, new problems will be seen against the backdrop of God's awesome nature rather than God's previous manifestations of power. Base your faith on God Himself and doubt will doubtless lose its power over your life.
